Auto-dilution ampoules for colorimetric analysis
*Comparable accuracy to volumetric procedures
*Test complete in 2 to 3 minutes
*Tests for:
*Hydrogen Peroxide
*Chlorine
VACUette® ampoules are designed for colorimetric analysis of highly concentrated samples. They employ a special auto-dilution feature that effectively eliminates the need for preliminary dilution. The entire test takes only 2 or 3 minutes to perform, with a rate of accuracy that is comparable to a volumetric procedure.
The basic design of these 7mm ampoules is the same at CHEMets® ampoules. Attached to the tip of each ampoule, however, is a capillary pipet. It is calibrated to draw the correct volume of sample for one of four dilution factors: 25X, 50X, 100X and 1000X.
The ampoule is held in a horizontal position while the capillary tip contacts the sample. After the capillary pipet fills, it is immersed in a diluent (usually tap water) and the tip of the ampoule is snapped. The sample and diluent are drawn into the ampoule where they are mixed with reagent. The resulting color change can then be compared with liquid color standards to quantify results.
Each test kit contains 30 ampoules, sample cup, accessory solutions (where necessary). and instructions.
