Manufactured from sturdy molded glass brick that will withstand regular use for many years. The clear sides allow unobstructed visual inspection of TLC plates up to 20 x 20 cm in size. The top of the tanks are ground flat to match the lids and the edges are beveled to remove any sharp edges. The bottoms are ground to provide a flat, level surface. A raised ridge along the inside bottom allows the simultaneous development of two 20 x 20 cm or four 5 x 20 cm plates. Inside dimensions of the tanks are approximately 27 cm W x 7 cm D x 25 cm H. The tank lids are available in three styles: Standard, Nonslip and Latch. Nonslip lids have a knob for easy lifting and PTFE retainers inside to prevent the lid from accidentally sliding oft the tank. Latch lids are designed to hold them firmly to the developing tank, greatly improving the stability of the saturated environment for developing TLC plates. Latch lids also have a knob for easy removal and PTFE retainers.
The multiplate aluminum rack allows the simultaneous development of up to six 20 x 20 cm TLC plates. The rack is hard anodized to prevent corrosion.
