A change in line voltage or variation in load does not affect shaking speed. The constant speed 1/6 HP motor drives the shaking mechanism through a mechanical transmission, utilizing a variable pitch pulley system with a V-belt drive. Because of the wide speed range, this model is most useful for general laboratory shaking work. Speed control with locking knob, as well as on-off switch are mounted on the front of the case.
