Specifications: The furnace has a 2.5" ID x 21.75" heated chamber. This chamber is formed by a ceramic work tube that has a long-life resistance wire heating element wound around its outer diameter. A temperature uniformity of ±50°C over 300 mm (11.75") is provided in the central area of the furnace chamber. The fast thermal response of the furnace is enhanced by low thermal mass ceramic fiber insulation. An outer mesh guard is provided to prevent accidental contact with the hot furnace case. The control thermocouple is located in a protected position between the outside of the work tube and the heating element. The control system is located in the front of the furnace support base, providing convenient observation and access to the temperature controller. A digital PID temperature controller provides precise temperature control. The instrument allows rapid heating or ramping to set-point temperature. Large digital display will feature set-point or actual temperature in degrees C or F. Maximum temperature 1200°C. 2000 Watts, 208/220V.
