The WACO Enamel Rater II is a versatile, easy to use instrument for testing the coverage of the enamel coating on the inside of food and beverage cans. The LED display indicates both elapsed time and milliamps and eliminates the confusion of analog meter displays. The test voltage is set at 6.3 VDC, but is adjustable from 4 to 9 VDC. Operating range is 0 to 500 milliamps, with accurate resolution of 0.1 ma. Remote sensing power supply ensures accuracy by measuring and regulating the test voltage at the can being tested. The instrument operates in the industry standard 4 second mode, continuously, or can be programmed to any desired time. Electrolyte level and can contact sensors insure that testing begins only when the can is properly filled with electrolyte and good electrical contact is established. Other features include display hold, voltage reverse, and calibration self test. The sturdy enclosure includes a sealed membrane keypad for protection against moisture and corrosion. The RS232 serial interface permits easy data transfer to computers or printers. Supplied complete with can holder.
