The STANNOMetal uses ASTM STD A630-87 method B (the referee method), to coulometrically determine tin coating weights. A sample is first placed in the electrolytic stripping cell, and the cell is filled with electrolyte solution. The electronic unit then generates controlled currents and voltages for the stripping process, while monitoring the end results. Results of free tin, alloy tin, and total tin are displayed on the monitor, saved to disk, or printed out, with corresponding graphs and statistical charts. The STANNOMetal analyzer is available in a version to measure metallic chrome on tinplate and TFS, and also available in a combination tin and chrome instrument. Please call or write for more detailed information and system configurations.
