As supplied in 10160-00 and 10180-00 calorimeters. Will safely burn samples which liberate up to a maximum of 8000 calories per charge, using oxygen charging pressures up to 40 atm. Combustion is rapid, releasing all of the heat obtainable from the sample and at the same time oxidizing all sulfur and other elements in the sample to soluble forms for chemical analysis. Available in two types of material to provide corrosion resistance to either sulfuric acid generated with coal samples or halogen acids generated with refuse samples.
