The End Profile Analyzer uses laser profiling technology in order to scan a profile of the edge of the measured can end. With laser profiling technology, the EPA is able to measure the Curl Width (along with other measurements) using a non-contact optical laser measurement system. The sanitary end is placed within the optical unit. A contact driven gauge is used to perform measurements such as external diameter. This measurement is combined with the non-contact measurements in order to produce the following measurement values: |
